Rollover accidents often involve a single vehicle. Many causes of rollover accidents exist, including excessive speeding, alcohol use, and road conditions. Rollover accidents tend to happen more frequently on rural roads with a speed limit greater than 55 miles per hour and that are divided without barriers.
The kinds of injuries sustained during accidents where a truck is involved can be devastating due to the size and weight of the vehicle in the injury accident. Some of the injuries we frequently see are:
Internal Injuries – blunt trauma from truck crashes can cause internal bleeding to organs that can be very difficult to treat and require extensive therapies and treatment.
Lacerations – Cuts and lacerations are common in truck and 18-wheeler accidents and commonly leave massive scars that may never heal. The frequency of this injury increases with a vehicle that rolls several times and might send debris around the overturning vehicle.
Rib and Torso Injuries – In the case of Truck crash injuries combined with a rollover, the ribs and torso injuries can be extensive.
Spinal Cord Injuries and Paralysis – Some of the most severe accidents we have seen have involved injury to the spinal cord. These damages aren’t always initially apparent, which is why anyone who suffers a trucking accident injury should immediately seek medical attention.
Wrongful Death – Much like this case, box truck, tanker, and tractor-trailer accidents are ten times more likely to kill you than crashes with other cars or smaller motor vehicles. If a loved one is killed in a truck accident and you believe it may not be by fault of their own, only an experienced truck accident attorney can hold the company responsible through a possible wrongful death claim. Being able to heal from the loss of a loved one often involves being able to recover some of what was lost to be able to move into the next chapter of life. Meagher Injury Lawyers can seek the compensation necessary for your family to do just that.
