Motorcyclist Killed in Crash in East Louisville

Some very unfortunate news. Per WLKY, a motorcyclist was killed in a wreck near Middletown on the afternoon of August 18, 2022. Louisville Metro Police Department and EMS were at the scene of the incident that occurred on South Beckley Station Road a little after 2:30 p.m. The police arrived and found the motorcyclist, who had life-threatening injuries when the police arrived.

Per Louisville Metro Police Department’s initial investigation, the motorcyclist was headed northbound when they drove into a right-hand curve and lost control of the motorcycle, forcing the motorcyclist into the southbound lane where the motorcycle collided with a car. The collision threw the motorcyclist onto the hood of the car. The motorcyclist was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital and was pronounced dead an hour later.
